What a great virtual tour of your classroom! A nice use of voicethread.

I am a 3rd grade teacher in Connecticut, USA. For the past 2 years my students have made and flown kites in April when we learn measurement and fractions.

To incorporate cultural exchange and reading/writing into the unit, I am organizing a global kite project. So far there are 11 schools involved from every continent! We have participants from Belize, Brazil, Poland, India, China, Kenya, New Zealand, Australia, Thailand, Mexico and Canada. Here is a link to the draft of the website (it is only starting, as most schools are doing the project this month): http://web.me.com/jmsalsich/Kites_Around_The_World/WELCOME.html

I would like to invite you to join this global kite project. As Korea has such a unique kite tradition it might be a fun way for your students to share about their culture while practicing writing English for an audience. All the pages on the website will be in English, so they can learn about other countries while reading authentic student writing.

Please let me know what you think. I will be happy to give more details if you are interested. Thanks!
